After two years absence I am excited to welcome visitors to my newly rebuilt garden studio as part of the Cambridge Open Studios event. I love explaining the process behind my letterpress based work and offering the chance to print a little keepsake my vintage printing presses. Making art can be a solitary pursuit which makes Open Studios a really lovely way for people to connect with and support the local creative community. I’m looking forward to the inspirational conversations and happy encounters that this event always provides in abundance.
This is a splendid way to meet artists and see their work in relaxed informal settings. You could plan a few visits around a nice pub lunch or afternoon tea in a local cafe, there are 13 artists open in my village just north of Cambridge and the wider area has over 300 artists participating. There really is something for everyone. Who knows you might find the perfect piece of art for yourselves or for a gift, or maybe a few cards to send on special occasions.
I will be open from 10am until 5pm on each of the first three weekends in July.
