It is true that the amount of effort that goes into becoming successful at something is often largely hidden, like an iceberg. This print has a little flag waving person atop the tiny part of the iceberg above the waves. Is this celebrating some hard won success or just the fact that we still have some icebergs?

Having carved the iceberg from lino to fit the layout of the type, used a roller to create the sea and printed some of these charming cool blue posters I realised…a typo…success has two c’s!

New lino carved to fit revised type layout and re-printed. However I fixed the first ones by adding the lost C to the bottom of the sea. Suddenly a new ironic layer of meaning is added.

Yes success is an iceberg.
